How we comply with privacy obligations?

This Privacy Policy sets out the policy of The Forge Grappling Ltd with respect to the way in which we collect, use, store and disclose information about you, including through our website at www.theforgegrappling.com
This Privacy Policy explains our approach to the handling of personal information, and how we comply with our privacy obligations. We are bound by the Privacy Act 2020. This Privacy Policy applies to The Forge Grappling its employees and contractors.
By using our website or services, you consent to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, however we may not be able to continue to provide you with our services or access to our website.

What personal information do we collect from you?

We may collect personal information directly from you:
• when you provide business cards or other documentation to us containing such personal information, including when you complete a Membership

Agreement and a Health Questionnaire;
• in the course of providing our products and services to you;

Does The Forge Grappling share my personal information with anyone else?

The Forge Grappling will disclose your personal information in a few different ways.
Like most businesses, sometimes we outsource or "contract out" specific support services from time to time, and this may mean that our contractors see your personal information. For instance, sometimes we may engage IT contractors to maintain our databases. All our contractors are subject to strict confidentiality obligations, which means that they are authorised only to use personal information to provide the services or to perform the functions required by us.
We may also disclose your personal information to:
• Government departments or law enforcement agencies (including the Police);
• liquidators, administrators or other persons appointed to administer your financial affairs; and
• debt collection services or credit reporting agencies.

For example, if you are a member, with your consent (and only with your consent) we may provide personal information to The Forge Grappling Instructors to assist you to improve your fitness and develop your game, and so they can advise you what directions your learning and development should take. If Instructors are contractors (rather than employees), their contracts with us require them to keep your personal information confidential. Of course, all our employees are required to keep your personal information confidential also.

Cookies
When you visit our website, we may collect certain data that does not identify you (sometimes called "web log information") when you visit certain pages, such as the type of browser and operating system you have. We may also use "cookies" which are small files that are stored on your computer and that manage the security and navigation process of the site.
You can choose to block these cookies but some portions of the site may not function correctly if you do. This type of data is collected for statistical purposes only, and while cookies will identify your computer, they are unlikely to identify you personally.
What to do if you don't want our mail-outs?
In each email or each piece of marketing material that you receive from us, you can immediately unsubscribe from our mailing list by using the "unsubscribe" facility contained in each electronic publication we send. In any event, you can opt out from receiving promotional material by e-mailing us and asking to be removed from the mailing list. Alternatively, you can mail a request asking for deletion. • We take our privacy responsibilities seriously. In the unlikely event that a suspected or actual breach of your personal information occurs, we will investigate the breach.
